Here, rope is our tool for presence, curiosity, and connection. Through the unique flavors of intimacy that come with rope bondage—dominance and submission, control and surrender, pleasure and sensation—explore new ways of relating and weaving in community.
In this experimental container, we blend the communication practices and erotic exploration in kink culture with the tender-hearted connection of conscious relating. This is your invitation to explore desire and intimacy in a rope space that is alive, connected, and deeply human.

✨ “Second-Base” Spectrum of Intimacy
We honor the full range of connection, from tender and heart-centered to thrilling and arousing. Here is a shared language to explore intimacy safely and consciously:
Platonic: Friendly, affectionate, heart-centered, non-sexual touch. The sweetness of human connection.
Sensual: Touch that delights the body and feels enjoyable. Delicious without stoking sexual excitement.
Erotic: Interactions that turn you on, awaken sexual energy, heighten desire. This can look like: a change in energy, a flavor of touch, or sweet whispers that inspire your fantasies…
Sexual: Explicit genital play or sexual stimulation. This container does not include sexual activity.
Our container focuses on platonic → sensual → erotic, offering a framework to explore desire and connection without explicit sexual acts.

This kinky community space that blends presence, connection, and learning rope bondage into one delightful evening. We will be celebrating with an open rope jam and a kink art show by local bay area artists. Don't miss the next Knotty Scouts meeting and earn a new badge for learning a new tie. From November 2022 to February 2023, Glory is featuring their live shibari drawings in the Nook Gallery, an 87sqft. space in the studio for visual artists to display and sell their works on a rotating basis.
VoxBody Studio opened in Spring 2017 in Oakland, California. Our first studio enjoyed three bustling years before COVID forced us to shutter our doors in March 2020. After 20 months of online programming, we reopened in February 2022 and look forward to welcoming you! We are still in Oakland, in a larger and more conveniently located space, and we STILL LOVE ROPE!
14th Annual Sexuality Career Fair
The Education and Referral Organization for Sexuality (EROS), a part of San Francisco State University's Associated Students, is holding our 14th annual Sexuality Career Fair on November 4th. From 12:30-2pm there will be a panel discussion with speakers. Come by to learn about sex work and kink, discuss sexuality, and buy crafts from local artists in the Bay Area!
