Come join Bound to Rise…

Bound to Rise is a rope workshop and jam that blends presence, connection, and rope bondage into one delightful evening. Rooted in community, learning, and respect, it offers a container where people can engage in experiential learning at a gentle pace. By practicing presence and attunement, people are encouraged to be active, conscious participants in their exploration of self and other in rope.

The evening begins with an all-levels rope workshop to learn foundational skills for creating a fun and meaningful rope experience. Then, we transition into an open jam with space for socializing, snacking, rope labbing, and rope scenes. During the jam, a House Top will be available to tie participants and help create a magical night.

Whether new to rope or experienced, come and see what rope community can mean to you: attuned presence, nervous system regulation, embodied connection, dominance and submission, shadow work, and more.

What People Are Saying

About Bound to Rise

Founded in 2023 by Glory Dang and Daniel Moreh, Bound to Rise has welcomed hundreds of people throughout Santa Cruz, Monterey, Bay Area, Los Angeles, Sebastopol, and Boulder. Past attendees have described their experience as “safe”, “inclusive”, “therapeutic”, and “truly transformative." We welcome people to connect, learn, and express their authentic selves within this supportive community.

Daniel Moreh (he/they)

Daniel Moreh is a neurodivergent, queer rope switch. His tying style is fairly simple, focusing on the sensual, erotic, and playful aspects of rope. His approach is influenced by Yukimura, Gorgone, and his background in contact improvisation, micro fusion dance, and bodywork. You can find Daniel teaching at Bound to Rise, a monthly rope workshop and jam in Santa Cruz. He also offers private rope sessions and lessons.

Glory Moonfire (they/them)

Glory is a non-binary multidisciplinary artist, creative vulnerability facilitator, and rope switch. Passionate about creating intimate, transformational experiences, they have hosted events focused on self-love, creativity, and play. They believe that presence and awareness forms the foundation for spiritual transformation through kink. Their rope art has been showcased throughout the Bay Area, including at the Annual Sexuality Fair at UCSF and VoxBody Studio in Oakland.
